{"id":10049,"date":"2026-09-05T19:52:59","date_gmt":"2026-09-05T19:52:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sodma.gov.so\/eng\/?p=10049"},"modified":"2026-09-08T19:56:13","modified_gmt":"2026-09-08T19:56:13","slug":"somalia-participates-in-africa-food-systems-forum-2026-in-kigali","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sodma.gov.so\/eng\/somalia-participates-in-africa-food-systems-forum-2026-in-kigali\/","title":{"rendered":"Somalia Participates in Africa Food Systems Forum 2026 in Kigali"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kigali, Rwanda<\/strong> \u2014 Senior Adviser Mohamed Mukhtar Ali, a member of the Somali government delegation, is participating in the <strong>Africa Food Systems Forum 2026<\/strong>, currently taking place in Kigali, Rwanda.<\/p>\n<p>The Somali delegation attending the forum comprises representatives from the government, civil society, and the private sector, who are representing Somalia in discussions and sessions focused on transforming food systems, strengthening community resilience, and addressing challenges affecting food security.<\/p>\n<p>Representing Somalia at the forum, Senior Adviser Mohamed Mukhtar Ali participated in a panel discussion titled <strong>\u201cThe Critical Role of Data and Digital Information Services,\u201d<\/strong> where he highlighted the importance of accurate and timely data and digital information services in supporting decision-making and disaster management.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Mohamed Mukhtar stated that SoDMA is working to develop systems that ensure the Government of Somalia has full ownership and management of data related to disaster management.
